Agnieszka Szymańska was awarded tenure and promotion to associate professor of art history. Szymańska specializes in the architecture and painted decoration of late antique Egyptian monasteries, and whose technical expertise includes working directly on archeological sites with conservation professionals and archeologists.

Dr. Nelson is an expert on 19th century photography, and her work combines 19th centuryphotographic chemistry and science fiction to explore themes of loneliness, isolation, anddistance within the queer community.
