Trish J. Gibson is a southern-American photographer and writer from rural Tennessee currently living and working in Richmond, Virginia. Her works center around generational trauma, rural queerness, southern tradition, collective memory, and the complicated nature of excavating histories. Gibson’s work exists in photography, film, textiles, and site-specific installations and have been most recently featured at A Gallery from Home, Rump Gallery, and The Midwest Center for Photography. Trish’s work has been featured in the Washington Post, and she is a 2019 Mass MoCA resident.
