The Visual and Media Arts Practice Major

Note: A grade of not less than C (2.0) is required in each course comprising the major.

12 units, including:

Group A: Foundation Requirements - Four units

Foundations are prerequisites for all upper level Visual and Media Arts Practice classes

and should be taken first and as early as possible. Art History Surveys should be taken

prior to spring of junior year.

One of the introductions to Art History, either ARTH 121 or ARTH 122,

One additional elective in Art History

***Enrollment in this course is contingent upon individual student plans.

***Education minors, for example, can choose to opt our of this exhibition centered course, in order to perform student teaching for their Education degree AND upon faculty approval. While it is not required for completion of the Visual and Media Arts Practice Major, it is highly recommended for students planning to develop careers in the visual and media arts.
